You go to Church for service
Or prayer meeting.
You bind the powers of darkness.
You come against the wiles of
the devil and his machinations.
You cast out all demons that
would want to cause any distractions
and limit the power of God
from finding expression in your meeting…
You go ahead and hold your service.
Everything turns out well as planned,
Praise God!

Next week, you want to hold another
service/prayer meeting.
You go through the process of binding
the powers of darkness, coming
against the wiles of the devil and
his machinations, etc.
Again. The following week, rinse
and repeat.

Seriously, why do that?
If this binding and casting are
as potent as we have been
made to believe, why can’t we
just bind and cast these devils
and demons ONCE AND FOR ALL?
Why go through it every week/day?

Jesus died ONCE for ALL, no?
“And by that will, we have
been made holy through the sacrifice
of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE
FOR ALL.”
Hebrews 10:10

So, why can’t we bind and cast
ONCE FOR ALL?
Or do these binding and casting
have expiry dates?
A while ago, there was a
discussion on “enemies” in Church…
Some people were of the opinion
that Christians have battles to fight,
enemies to defeat, and powers of
darkness to overcome.

My question is, why do you
have to do this CONSTANTLY?
Why can’t you defeat them ONCE
FOR ALL?

When you burn them with
“Holy Ghost Fire” don’t they die?
And when they die, why burn
them again?
Do they resurrect like Jesus did?
How do you explain this?

Isn’t it better to just spend
your time on the positives of Christianity:
worshiping God, praising His Name,
ascribing glory, honor, blessing and
power to Him?
Doesn’t that make more sense than
chasing after demons and enemies every day?
How many battles will you fight?
How many enemies will you kill?
How many demons will you bind?
Isn’t it better to simply BELIEVE that
no weapon formed against you shall
prosper (Isaiah 54:17)?
What we practice here is not Scriptural
Christianity but Cultural Christianity.

We’re taught to fight imaginary enemies
and see Christianity from the DEFENSIVE
angle: Satan attacks, we defend.
No, sir!
WE’RE FIGHTING ENEMIES OVER WHOM
JESUS HAD GIVEN US VICTORY ALREADY!
I once asked a friend why he does
all-night prayers. He responded,
“don’t you know that’s when witches
and wizards meet? We have to
fight them when they meet!”
See DEFENSIVE CHRISTIANITY!

I asked, “and when they change
their meeting time to mid-day…?”
He kept quiet.
See, this Christianity is FUN!
It’s ENJOYABLE!
In it, we have FREEDOM and PEACE!
I remember what my brother,
@GbengaWemimo said when he
started a fellowship, the leaders of
the church he pulled out from
saw pictures of their meetings and
called him: they felt something
was wrong…
“You guys looked HAPPY! It shouldn’t
be!”
In the Christianity they knew,
folks wear long faces and look dour.
You don’t smile, you don’t laugh:
You MUST look downcast like the
weight of the world is on
your shoulders.

We were once of that persuasion,
but we know better today…
JESUS GAVE US VICTORY OVER SATAN AND
ALL POWERS OF DARKNESS BY HIS DEATH
ON THE CROSS AND HIS RESURRECTION
FROM DEATH.
See Colossians 2:9-15,
Ephesians 1:16-23.

THAT IS THE FREEDOM AND VICTORY
HE HAS PURCHASED FOR US.
You just need to walk in it!

Shalom,
Haruna Daniels.
