The Things He Said

I was studying the scriptures once and I found myself stuck on the phrase “Far Above Principalities and Powers”

I kept wondering what this meant ‘Seated with Christ in Heavenly Places or realms, far above Principalities and powers’ Ephesians 2:6

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:18

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

The scriptures I listed above really shook and troubled me that night

It was both confusing and exerting

What did that mean? Is it that there is power in me or power has been made available for my use or power has been bequeathed unto me?

This power was the same power that God released from heaven by which Jesus was raised from the dead and made to sit at God’s right hand in heaven, far above authority, power, dominion and the influence of any name ever named in creation

The verse talked about riches and inheritance that has also been made available to me but It was the far above part that troubled me

I was born again and I was filled with the Holy Spirit but I did not feel like I was far above anything

If anything, I felt far beneath the issues of life and I was drowning in the cesspool of my own reality

I had tried everything I was taught by those who believed before me

I tried the Living a “Holy Life” by performance scam-that was what my senior pastor believed and taught at the time

I was not seeing the result in any of us who tried hard to follow the laws and live “holy” in performance and we were many

Even the senior pastor who was teaching it at the time was not producing any supernatural result

We thought God was marking a sin sheet and allocating punishments and blessings to us according to how well we performed in not doing anything wrong

We did this for years and there was no spiritual enlightenment or understanding of the realities of Christ

We spoke in tongues, kept vigils, fasted for an insane number of days, and did three days of special crusades, retreats, and revivals

We invited those we felt had come into understanding

Eventually, we began to hunt down those we believed had a special anointing that could break the yokes of our lives

Those ones came and they began to preach that we must sow into their anointing for it to be activated

I remember our poor church members rushing to the ATM to withdraw seeds to sow when the pastor brought one man to church who spoke quite fluently and then insisted, we must sow seeds into his anointing for it to produce results for us

We prayed all the enemy’s prayers and bought those published by all these ignorant scam artists who called themselves pastors whose prayer points were practically inspired by morbid stories and occultic revelations- ‘Every evil cobweb… Every evil veil… Every evil pot… A market where they sell glory… Wherever my womb has been locked… Every evil river accommodating my destiny… ‘

I don’t want to give the title of any book but if you have such books, you should please burn them and never touch one of such again

They were written by frauds who have no understanding of the realities of Christ and the new creature

They bring into manifestation a strange reality that keeps a believer from attaining victory all the days of his life

As I pondered on the scriptures that day and thought about how after years of praying and practicing everything, I had been taught my life was still not moving at any speed that you would think is good enough among men not to talk of anyone who has supernatural advantage or abilities, I slept off…

I suddenly found myself at a seashore, looking at the ocean from a distance

A man came to me and greeted me respectfully

The man looked like someone familiar and someone who commanded instant respect from people, I bowed my head in respect to greet this man and he said “Look at angels, they understand the meaning of that scripture much more than any man can ever describe, write, or teach, they have been far above principalities and powers from the beginning, they do not have to bow to any man and can never be cursed, attacked, put in bondage, set up, insulted, attacked or assaulted by any man or spirit or even any angel. The life you are struggling to live is their natural lifestyle. Look at angels and see how they behave; you will learn much more about your abilities in Christ from them than from any man. You will also learn how they see and the kind of mindset they have, this will help you a lot”

Then this man walked away from me towards the ocean

When he got to the ocean, he didn’t pause, he just stood right on the water as if he were on an escalator and glided off leisurely

I woke up from my doze and took my Bible

We are not to worship angels or treat them as if they are God, however, it cannot be harmful to learn a thing or two about them

Angels are spiritual beings that are mentioned in many religious texts. In the Bible, angels are described as personal beings with intellect, emotion, and will

They are created beings, like humans, by God

Angels are also known to be messengers of God, and they carry out His commands

Here are some of the characteristics of angels that are mentioned in the Bible

Angels are personal beings with intellect, emotion, and will. Angels are created beings. Angels are messengers of God. Angels are powerful beings. Angels are holy beings. Angels are obedient to God. Angels are immortal beings. Angels are wise beings. Angels are meek beings. Angels are joyful beings. Angels are glorious beings. Angels are mighty beings. Angels are beings with free will.

Every believer has all the characteristics listed above too according to the Bible

From the moment we received the Lord Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and got baptized with the Holy Spirit, we became new creatures with superpowers

Our location changed from the realm of darkness into the realm of light

We became partakers of the divine nature we became supernatural

We were promoted from our station in the Old Testament where we were “A little lower than angels” to our new status in the New Testament in which we were given all authority, power, dominion, and so on through the Holy Spirit and even made “Joint heirs with Christ”

An angel will never call itself a sinner because angels did not sin and have no sin consciousness A believer has been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, therefore he or she is a saint!

An angel will never be conscious of the enemy of his father’s house and pray about this enemy all day and all night, never believe anybody can take his glory and turn it into shame, never allow anyone to tell him that he needs deliverance, never emotionalize issues to the point where it will become a problem to their attitude, health, or relationship with people, will never worship a man of God or Pastor or religious figure, will never receive the worship of anyone or expect anyone to worship him

Angels worship only God and every other thing is subject to them as a result of this

When an angel speaks elements obey at will, the sea parts, fire comes down, the wind blows, the earth shakes, everything obeys them because they obey God

Angels don’t see impossibilities or pray negative prayers. An angel got into trouble in the book of Daniel and he called for the help of another higher-ranking angel

The trouble did not overwhelm the angel, it only delayed him a bit and this was sorted out without Daniel’s knowledge or bombardment of heaven

It was after it was sorted out that the angel told him

I learned a lot about the mindset and abilities of angels in the scriptures

I was shocked when the angel told John to Worship God! Revelations 22: 8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

I realized this was all the angels did

They do not complain about anything the way men do, they are not distracted by any personal issues the way we are

They worship God

When it came to their dealings with any entity lower than God, they gave instructions or issued decrees

One went to Cornelius and gave him instructions as to who to talk to regarding his salvation One went to Philip and told him to join the chariot of the Ethiopian Eunuch, one went to Apostle Paul on the ship and assured him that he would not be hurt but would preach the gospel to Caesar

They never panic or resort to “Enemy prayer” simply because things are not moving in the direction they desire

Everything obeys them because they obey God

I took a lot of lessons from this

It also helped me shape my mindset

How could I be struggling while I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers?

How can I be struggling when according to the Word of God spoken through angels singing in unison in Revelations 5, this was declared… 8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. 9 And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

Pay attention to the words! I was made to be a KINGDOM and A Priest to SERVE GOD (Once I am doing this) I will REIGN on the earth!

This reality changed my life forever

I began to worship and serve God

Worship with my hands lifted, singing and making melodies to the Lord, reading psalms, hymns, and scriptures out loud and just basking in the Holy Spirit as I worship and worship and worship, I serve the way Jesus did, which was described thus in Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

I know I have this same anointing through the Holy Spirit and I decided I will just use it the way Jesus used it because God is with me Hence, my teaching daily on Twitter and doing ministry all over the world in the last four years

The more I did these two things consistently, the more I began to reign

It was effortless

Jesus had serious family issues, He didn’t spend his time praying about them, lamenting about them, or going from pillar to post about them

The family and ministry issues Jesus had, were documented

His “biological” brothers did not believe in him, they taunted and mocked him

His mother wanted him to make them part of the ministry by force and he disagreed

He said anyone who did the will of his Father in heaven was his brother and mother

He had disciples who didn’t believe too

They were still asking him to show them the Father on the day he was supposed to be arrested and crucified, yet he went about doing the work for which he was anointed effortlessly

He said in “John 4:34 “My meat is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” There is no better example than Jesus if we really want to live the supernatural life

This truth changed my life

Suddenly I find myself reigning over everything effortlessly, exactly the way the scriptures stated it

The word of God is alive in me!
